4th Get-Together: Stone Mountain Highland Games
Stone Mountain, GA

The picturesque grounds of the Stone Mountain Park meadow, a short drive northeast of Atlanta, Georgia, will once again resound with the sounds of bagpipes, fiddles and harps. For the 35th consecutive year, thousands of Scots (even those who wish to be "Scot for the Day") from around the world will don their family tartans and gather to greet old friends and make new ones too.
The highland games feature pipe band, athletic, and dance competitions, as well as clan tents and booths full of all things Scottish. Saturday is the highlight day, with the various competitions, while Sunday is the parade of tartans, when all the clans are announced on the main field.
If you've never heard 300+ bagpipes playing Amazing Grace at once, it's incredible. Opening ceremonies start at noon each day, and on Saturday you'll see the massed bands (30+ bands from around the southeast and beyond) perform. And if you've ever heard the stories of Scotsmen throwing poles, it's true! Watch the caber toss on Saturday during the athletic competitions.

Hockey Rocks Cancer
Presented by Hologram Innovations and Project 9-6-1
Hockey Rocks Cancer is a charity ice-hockey game that is being held to help fight cancer. The game will feature some of Atlanta’s most talented hockey players, while also listening to Atlanta’s greatest rock station, Project 9-6-1. Come and join us upstairs, at the bar and grill overlooking the rink. 100% of the proceeds raised will go to benefit the Michael Houser Fund and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Introduction......
Hello...and Welcome All to the Genesis of Enterprising Singles!
My name is Pam Stolba and I am an associate of Judy's here at CoreSpeed. And whereas I work with Judy, she is the mastermind behind this wonderful venture!
Like most of you, I find myself single after 11 years. Even though they say the divorce rate is up, finding associates or friends in similar circumstances is somewhat challenging. If juggling work schedules, kid schedules, travel schedules, running home to let the dog out and personal time was an act in the circus – we’d all be stars!! Add a dash of “having to do it alone” and it’s more fun than a barrel of monkeys!
I left a successful career in the Hospitality Industry to assist with my husband’s business and to have more time for the kids. Ok, we all know how that must have turned out. I did not want to go back into the hospitality industry and was at a crossroads. The opportunity at CoreSpeed presented itself – and here I am today.
I’ve never been in the IT industry – and it is very new to me. However, I am finding new and creative ways to use my sales and marketing background and am enjoying the challenge.
I look forward to meeting you all at the first of many events with Enterprising Singles!

Welcome to the enterprising singles group.
Someone asked me why I wanted to start a social network for single business professionals. For several reasons:
- Having just ended a marriage, I found myself single again after 20 years.
- I'd like to see, do and enjoy all of what Atlanta has to offer.
- I'd like to meet, and share these experiences with other folks like me.
- I'd like to learn how an online community, such as CoreSpeed’s CoreCommunity, could help a group of singles engage and interact, bridging our participation in real-life events with our online relationships.
- I'd like the community to grow by inviting folks to join that our members know.
- I'd like the members to share with the community the places they would recommend we see and things they recommend we do.
- I'd like the community to provide a forum where members can talk about the challenges they are facing as single business professionals in today’s world.
- I'd like the opportunity to do all of the above with members in different cities across the country. (If you are interested in becoming a social director in the city that you live, please let the community know.)
- I'd like to make the community of “enterprising singles” THE destination for single business professionals.
I’m looking forward to meeting all of you and appreciate your active participation in our community.
